Hello Woodstock Families,
This year, conferences are scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, November 25 and 26 and will be conducted in-person or, upon parent request, virtually via Google Meet. Your child’s teacher will be in contact with you regarding virtual conference opportunities.
If you need an interpreter for your child's conference, please complete the by 5:00 PM on Thursday, October 31. For students in Mandarin Immersion classes, both the English and Mandarin teachers will be in the conferences together. Please only request an interpreter if you need support in a language other than English or Mandarin.
If you need assistance scheduling a conference, please email your child's name and teacher(s) name(s) to WoodstockAttend@pps.net or reply to this email.
With the option of in-person or virtual conferences, we hope there can be high levels of participation.
Please use the following link to register for conferences during your window:
Please note that specialists (Art, Library, Music, PE) are also available for conferences. Families are not required to meet with specialists, but the specialists are available if needed.
Again, if you need an interpreter for conferences, other than your child’s teacher, please complete this by 5:00 PM on Thursday, October 31. If you have other circumstances that need to be considered for conference scheduling, please email WoodstockAttend@pps.net.
We look forward to seeing you at conferences!

For families that attended Woodstock last year, you should have received a school supply list for your child’s grade this coming year in the year-end report card envelope. If you did not receive it or need to review it, please see the .
For families that have been a part of our school for the last few years, you may recall that this was an approach we used to help get school supplies to the classroom. For the past two years, we were able to budget for purchasing all school supplies to remove the burden of shopping for school supplies.
Unfortunately, with our recent budget cuts, we are again asking families to help by purchasing school supplies for their children. Last spring when the budget outlook was shared, many families inquired about how/where they can help. By helping by school supplies, this will allow us to focus our resources in other areas to support learning and development.
However, this is not a requirement. If you are unable to purchase supplies for your child, that is ok. If you are experiencing a financial hardship and need assistance, please contact the office, and we can help make sure your child has everything they need for a successful school year.
Also, if your family is in a position to support other students and would like to make a donation, feel free to purchase additional supplies and provide them to your child’s teacher in the fall. If you would prefer to make a monetary donation, please contact Tabitha.

Welcome to Woodstock Elementary! We are excited to have you in our community and we look forward to creating a positive learning experience for all students at Woodstock.
Creating engaging, affirming, and meaningful learning is a blend of expertise and empathy. Teachers will tap into students' curiosity, integrating activities, visuals, and hands-on learning. With the acknowledgment and understanding of each student’s unique assets and learning styles, teachers will affirm their individual identities and build rapport. As their relationship grows, teachers will solidify student learning through creating meaningful connections with relatable and real-world activities.
We’re excited to partner with your family to create a true learning experience that will help all students thrive.
We are honored for this opportunity to work with your child and your family this year. As we move forward, our values of Perseverance, Integrity, Curiosity, and Compassion will remain as the guiding light, as well as our foundation.
Thank you for being a part of the Woodstock School Community!
With Woodstock Pride,
Seth Johnson, Principal

If you’re ever lucky enough to tag along with Tom Myers and his bird club at Skyline School, you’ll most likely notice a few things: that Skyline in the early morning can be a breathtakingly beautiful place, and that if you have a question about birds – or the natural world in general – the man his students call “Teacher Tom” can almost certainly answer it.
½ûÂþÌìÌà is hosting a series of events that focus on Belonging, Equity & Inclusive Practices where we will screen powerful, award-winning documentaries aimed at starting a productive conversation about what is possible in the systems we create for our children with disabilities.
As part of this series, we are excited to welcome you to a live virtual event, , on Monday, October 28 at 5:30 PM at . The event will include a screening of Dan Habib’s film, “Including Samuel,” and a conversation with him and his son, Samuel.
The Dr. Matthew Prophet Education Center, the rather staid home to ½ûÂþÌìÌà administrative staff, had a very different look on Monday evening when it hosted the world premiere of “The Return of Emergetron.”
The red carpet event was in celebration of a new film starring students – and for students – about the many emergency scenarios they might encounter in a typical school year.
